Our ski resort was established in 1990 based on an idea conceived by seven passionate local JR East employees. It was the world's first resort development project directly connected to a Shinkansen (bullet train) station. Since its inception, it has been enjoyed by many customers, primarily from the Tokyo metropolitan area.
Its greatest appeal lies in its excellent Access, being just 71 minutes from the Tokyo metropolitan area by Shinkansen bullet train. Furthermore, it boasts excellent snow quality thanks to its high altitude of 1,181 meters, a wide variety of courses ranging from beginner to advanced, and together with the adjacent Yuzawa Kogen Ski Resort and Ishiuchi Maruyama Ski Resort, it forms the vast "YUZAWA SNOW Snow Resort" with a total of 48 courses.
Furthermore, we aim to revitalize this region together with the local community, including Yuzawa Town, Minamiuonuma City, and Tokamachi City, by collaborating with the local residents. We will provide services that incorporate the unique culture and cuisine of the region, offering visitors new discoveries and unforgettable experiences.
In recent years, we have focused on year-round operations, including not only the winter season but also the summer and autumn tourist seasons, allowing our guests to experience the seasonal charms of the Yuzawa area. In winter, you can enjoy ski or snowboard on our beautiful snow-covered Trail, while in summer and autumn, you can enjoy trekking and other outdoor activities amidst nature.
Moving forward, we aim to be an all-season resort, and we will continue to strive to provide new value to our customers in collaboration with the local community, based on safety and security.
