For the 2026-2027 winter season, we have decided to suspend operations in the southern area.
The southern area, with its ungroomed courses such as "$2,600,000" and "Bronco," as well as powder snow, has long been a popular destination for many customers, offering an area where they can fully enjoy the natural terrain and snow conditions.
On the other hand, due to the characteristics of the area, which makes use of the natural terrain, operations are heavily influenced by natural conditions such as snowfall and snow quality, making it difficult to maintain stable operations throughout the season.
Furthermore, in the southern area, we have been conducting continuous surveys of the topography and ground conditions since the 2004 Chuetsu Earthquake. In addition to these unique topographical and ground conditions in the southern area, we have also considered various issues related to the maintenance and management of facilities within the area and their deterioration, which will be crucial for stable operation in the future. As a result, we have decided to suspend operations in the southern area during the 2026-2027 winter season.
We sincerely apologize to everyone who was looking forward to skiing in the South Area for this disappointing news. We would also like to express our gratitude once again to everyone who has enjoyed and supported the South Area over the years.
This season, we will be providing a safe and comfortable environment for skiing and Snowboard in both the central and northern areas, and we look forward to welcoming you to GALA YUZAWA during the 2026-2027 winter season.
